Grocery Storm Privacy Policy

Grocery Storm is a family grocery list app. This policy describes what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Information We Collect

• Account data: Firebase Auth user ID, display name, and email (if provided by your sign-in provider).
• Family data: family membership, roles, device IDs, device names, and timestamps.
• Grocery data: lists, list entries, items, markets, and related metadata.
• Subscription data: subscription identifiers, product identifiers, store provider, purchase verification status, and entitlement timestamps.
• Item photos: images you capture or upload for item reference.
• Analytics data: app interaction events and app/device context via Firebase Analytics.
• Advertising data: ad request/response data and device/app identifiers used by Google Mobile Ads when ads are enabled.
• Crash diagnostics: crash reports and basic device/OS context via Firebase Crashlytics.
• Local cache: lists/items/markets cached on your device to support offline access.

How We Use Information

• Provide grocery list syncing across your family.
• Store and display item photos.
• Maintain device and family sharing features.
• Verify subscription purchases and apply premium entitlements.
• Measure feature usage and app reliability.
• Serve and measure in-app ads for non ad-free users.
• Diagnose crashes and improve reliability.

Permissions

• Camera: used to scan QR codes for family linking and to capture item photos.
• Photos: used to import item photos from your library and save captured images.

Where Data Is Stored

• Firebase Authentication for account identity.
• Firebase Firestore for family and grocery data.
• Firebase Storage for item images.
• Firebase Analytics for product interaction analytics.
• Firebase Crashlytics for crash diagnostics.
• Google Mobile Ads for banner ad delivery and measurement.
• Local device storage for cached data.

Advertising and Analytics

• Grocery Storm uses Firebase Analytics to understand app usage and improve features.
• Grocery Storm may show Google Mobile Ads banners for users who are not ad-free.
• This release does not request App Tracking Transparency permission for cross-app tracking.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers that support app functionality, analytics, diagnostics, subscriptions, and advertising (including Google/Firebase and Apple).

Account Deletion and Retention

You can delete your account and family data inside the app:

• Scheduled deletion: data is marked for deletion and removed after 90 days. You can cancel within that window.
• Immediate deletion: data is removed as soon as the request is processed.

If you cannot access the app, you can request account deletion by emailing support@next40concepts.com. Please include the email address used for your Grocery Storm account and specify whether you want immediate deletion or scheduled deletion.

After deletion, we remove Firestore data, Storage images, and associated Firebase Auth accounts. Backups, if any, are purged on a rolling basis.

Children’s Privacy

Grocery Storm is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us.

Security

We use industry-standard services and access controls to protect your data, but no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices. We will update the effective date when changes are made.
